New Book: The Athlete's Secret

Hello Lovelies!

I want to introduce you all to a physician and childhood friend of mine, Dr. Ioannis (John) Stavrakos, to share his brilliance as well as tune you in on how you can learn to live better from him.

To start, I firmly believe in lifestyle medicine and value physicians, such as Dr. John, who incorporate this as a guiding principle in their medical practice. Ever since I can recall, he has walked the walk by being ultra-attentive his nutrition, lifestyle, and physical activity and now is leading by example with his patients. So needless to say, I am an admirer and we share a deep passion for a healthy living, practicing science-based evidence, and of course maintaining our youthful glow.

Dr. Stavrakos is a regenerative medicine expert who uses modalities like Prolotherapy, Platelet Rich Plasma injections, Neurofascial Prolotherapy and Stem Cell therapy to provide hope for patients with spine, muscle and joint disorders who have been told surgery and pain management are their only options.  He is also a certified BHRT (Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement) physician and works to optimize levels of essential hormones and vitamins necessary to maintain long lasting health to feel better and be better. Above all, he is a regenerative medicine and BHRT patient himself. As I said earlier, he walks the walk…and there you go.

I could go on and on about Dr. John, but I have provided a link below so you can check him out for yourself. He recently published the book , The Athlete’s Secret To Conquering Pain, Heal Your Body and Boost Performance Through Regenerative Medicine. I encourage you to see if this book is for you. I am in no way an expert in this area, but I am all about seeking providers that are credible (aka the real thing) in terms of their health and medical treatment with a strong focus on prevention, wellness, and lifestyle as medicine. He breaks down the components of healing and therapy into sections to create a simple read for the lay person. The case studies are especially helpful due to real life application. I particularly related to the one regarding trigeminal neuralgia due to my personal experience in this regard with someone close to me.

You do not have to live with pain or limitations. And at the end of the day, as I tell my clients, we all have the same goal, to feel better, live better, and become better. If you do not know where to begin, perhaps start by reading his book to get some motivation and guidance. Here is the link:
